During the COVID pandemic, therapists everywhere wondered and worried together about this. I met many of my colleagues to discuss this and attend workshops, sharing insights about how to work effectively and experientially. I discovered—along with most clients—that therapy could be just as effective online as in person. Research has also supported this, showing similar outcomes between the two. In short, we all adapted!
However, it is not true for everyone; some people truly benefited more from in-person sessions. And many who were convinced they needed in-person therapy started this way, then came to prefer teletherapy. I’m happy to explore this with you on a free consultation call if you are curious about working with me.
In my experience, what can be lost in teletherapy is the quiet time for reflection and movement that comes from traveling to and from a therapy office. To compensate, many of my clients have developed rituals, such as taking a short walk or visiting a local café for coffee or tea before and after our sessions, that have helped to integrate our work. -
To keep my practice paperless, you’ll receive an email with a link to your personal client portal before our first appointment. Please use the link to complete some forms and provide background information. This allows us to begin our work together efficiently.

The current fee is $300 for a 50-minute individual session and $400 for a 75-minute couples session. My rates increase annually to reflect my ongoing advanced training.

At this time, my practice is self-pay only. I am able to provide a monthly superbill that you can submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement. Many plans may cover a portion of your costs if you have out-of-network benefits. Here are some questions to ask your insurance provider:
Do I have out-of-network coverage for outpatient mental health benefits?
If so, what portion of the fee is reimbursed?
Is there a deductible, and if so, how much have I met so far?
What is the process for submitting claims?
For couples (family): Is CPT code 90847, 50-minutes of family therapy covered in my insurance?
-
Most clients attend weekly sessions, which tends to foster the best outcomes. As therapy progresses, we can adjust the frequency to fit your evolving needs.
-
Everything discussed in therapy is confidential. There are a few exceptions required by law, such as reporting abuse, threats of harm, or responding to a court order. Please ask if you have any concerns about confidentiality.
-
The duration of therapy varies for each individual and depends on your unique goals and reasons for seeking help.

Therapy offers a dedicated space to explore your concerns with a supportive professional who aims to help you navigate challenges. It’s a chance to gain insight into patterns, heal from past wounds, and discover your strengths with someone invested in your well-being.
While I work with clients struggling with anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, and other concerns, I also focus on personal development and navigating life transitions. Therapy is a valuable tool for building emotional resilience, enhancing relationships, and living authentically according to your values.

My priority is supporting what’s best for you, even if that means connecting you with another therapist. If you feel we’re not the right match, I’m glad to provide a trusted referral.
